Why Grass-Gig?

We love traditional concerts at big venues as well. But there’s something about a private experience that your average concert can’t provide. And when you look at all the expenses, bringing the party to your house instead makes a lot of sense.

Buying tickets

Concert tickets are expensive. Are you booking GA or VIP? The experience will be wildly different. You also need to buy tickets before they sell out. Today it’s a race against bots to buy tickets on time and not pay a reseller price.

Getting there and parking

Are you driving yourself? If so, don’t drink too much. Taking an Uber or Lyft? That will cost you. And leaving the concert will take much longer than you want. Usually to beat the crowd, you have to leave before the encore… but not at your own concert!

The line to get in & the line for food/drinks

The line to get in can be a defeating experience. You stand… you wait. Not the best way to get pumped for that show you’ve been waiting all week for. And then once you get inside there are more lines and everything is overpriced. We have bought watered down cocktails and warm beer countless times. Why not pack your own cooler or take a stroll into your kitchen instead?

Not knowing the people around you

At a packed show crowd control can be a safety issue. Let’s say you go with a couple of friends. It’s a good feeling to know the people to your left. But what about to your right, in front of you, and behind you. A rowdy crowd can get obnoxious. And getting pushed or stepped on by some random bro can really ruin the evening. Why not have a concert with only people you know and like present?

Bathrooms

Have you ever been to a concert? Have you ever been into a bathroom at your average music venue? Enough said. Skip that experience completely and use your own bathroom at home. And not to mention more lines, and less time enjoying the show.

Getting home safely

And possibly the most important step. Leaving a crowded venue late at night and getting home safely. People are drunk. People are everywhere. And things have the potential to go wrong. When the show is over, getting home can’t come soon enough. Just imagine being in your own backyard after the encore :)
